Design and Display
The smartphone is looking elegant and attractive. This is because it’s built with a glass on the front. In other to cut the price, it features a plastic back and frame. It comes in a smooth panel housing the camera modules, an LED flash and also a fingerprint scanner for security. The Oppo A31 measures 163.9 x 75.5 x 8.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 180 grams.
Shifting to the front, you will be greeted with a large display size of 6.5 inches which is perfect for entertainment. The screen packs a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a tall 20:9 ratio and 270 PPI density for clear visuals.
It also produces 480 nits brightness and it’s equipped with an IPS LCD display panel plus display protection.
Camera
As for the camera set-up, you will get a triple rear camera that consists of 12 MP wide featuring PDAF, with another 2 MP macro camera and lastly is 2 MP depth sensor. The main camera has an LED flash, HDR, panorama and can also shoot 2K videos quality. For selfies and video calling, you will get a single front camera of 8 MP. The front camera has HDR and the same video resolution as the main camera.
Hardware and Software
Powering the whole phone is Mediatek MT6765V/CB Helio P35 chipset which is under mid-range. The SOC based on 12 nm process technology and it has an octa-core processor handling its assignment at a speed of 2.3 GHz. Furthermore, it features PowerVR GE8320 for graphics and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 user interface on top. The inbuilt storage on the device is 64GB with 4GB RAM and the memory is also expandable via micro SD card.
Battery and NetworkFueling the handset is a massive battery of 4230 mAh. There is no news if the battery supports fast charging. However, it will surely last a full day under normal usage when fully charged.
The phone also has a dual SIM slot that carries 4G LTE Network on the hood. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth for a wireless connection, A-GPS for navigation, FM radio for entertainment and MicroUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go.
